Hopkinsville Man Indicted On Numerous Counts Of Sexual Exploitation Charges Involving Minors

A Hopkinsville man arrested last month on 200 counts of child sexual exploitation charges was indicted by the Christian County Grand Jury Friday.

The grand jury indicted 39-year old James Enman West II of Hopkinsville on 100 counts of distributing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, 50 counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, and 50 counts of possession of matter sex performance by a minor over 12 years under 18 years.

West was arrested in September after a Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch investigation reportedly revealed he had been sharing images of child sexual exploitation online. According to State Police, a search warrant was executed at his Hopkinsville residence on September 1 where detectives said they found equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to the forensic laboratory for examination.

The grand jury also returned two separate true-bills returned on 32-year old Dedrick Willingham, Jr. of Hopkinsville. One indictment charges Willingham with second-degree burglary, two counts of first-degree sexual abuse victim under 12-years of age, and first-degree sexual abuse. The charges are from June 30th when Willingham allegedly entered the home of a woman, restrained her and forced sexual contact. He is also accused of performing sex acts on himself in the presence of two small children.

The second indictment returned on Willingham charges him with second-degree unlawful imprisonment, second-degree burglary, first-degree sexual abuse victim under 12-years of age, first-degree promoting contraband, first-degree indecent exposure – second offense within 3 years of his first conviction, and possession of synthetic drugs first offense. The charges are from an incident that occurred on August 9 when Willingham allegedly entered a Hopkinsville residence, unlawfully restrained two victims and made sexual contact with one of the victims who was a minor under the age of twelve. He was reportedly found in possession of synthetic marijuana or synthetic controlled substances when he was being booked in the Christian County Jail.

And a true bill was returned on 42-year old James Raymond Fritz of Hopkinsville for failure to comply with sex offender registration. Fritz was arrested by Hopkinsville Police on September 11 on West 7th Street after it was determined he had not notified the state about his new address.
