A Cadiz man has been selected as the general manager at a new manufacturing facility that will be opening in Trigg County on December 1st.
Load Covering Solutions announced Ernie Baker has been hired as part of its new U.S. Team for the facility that will be located at 715 North Rocky Ridge Road. Company officials said Baker was chosen for his extensive manufacturing and management experience, his knowledge of the Cadiz community, and his desire to make Load Covering Solutions one of the best places to work.
The company release says Baker is a lifelong resident of Cadiz, Trigg County and has worked in the local automotive supply industry for 39 years, including management positions at Johnson Controls, American National Rubber, FabSol, and Derby Fabricating. Under his leadership, Derby Fabricating won numerous awards from customers and was also voted “Best Place to Work in Kentucky” in 2015. Most recently, he was the general manager of Molded Devices, Incorporated, based in Tempe, Arizona.
Baker resides in Cadiz with his wife Jennifer. He’s an avid golfer who always has his dog, Sophie, along as his caddy. They have one daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Logan Harber.
Baker starts with Load Covering Solutions on October 24 and company officials say they look forward to him driving the business forward, making a great work environment and finding the right employees to continue the company’s pursuit of product and customer service excellence.
Governor Andy Beshear announced in September of 2021 that Load Covering Solutions — a producer and distributor of tarp systems for commercial trucks and trailers — will bring up to 30 quality jobs and a $2 million facility to the I-24 Industrial Park.
