Woman Charged With Trafficking Drugs To Jail Inmate

A Hopkinsville woman was charged Tuesday afternoon with trafficking drugs after an investigation into a can containing drugs and a phone put on jail property.

Hopkinsville Police say on July 13th 22-year-old Tiasia Haskins who was in complicity with three other people put an old food can in the dumpster that contained more than 2 grams of meth, a cell phone, and a phone charger.

Video surveillance along with recorded phone calls at the jail reportedly helped law enforcement get a warrant for her arrest after finding she was asked by an inmate to bring the food can to the jail.

Haskins is charged with complicity to trafficking meth and attempted first-degree promoting contraband.
