Details Released In Hopkinsville Pursuit


Details have been released about a traffic stop on US 68 in Hopkinsville that led to a high-speed pursuit Monday morning.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they attempted to stop a car for speeding on US 68 and the driver Zavian Jackson of Clarksville fled at speeds of 100 mph onto Pennyrile Parkway.

Jackson reportedly turned onto Fort Campbell Boulevard then Walnut Street and pulled into the parking lot behind Max Fuel when he tried to turn around he collided with a law enforcement vehicle.

Deputies say all four people in the car Jackson and Nicholas Ipock of Elkton along with two juveniles fled on foot but were all apprehended quickly.

Jackson is charged with speeding, disregarding a traffic control device, first-degree wanton endangerment, second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, and two counts of first-degree fleeing or evading police.

Ipock is charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police, second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor, possession of cocaine, and possession of marijuana.
