Trigg Hospital Board Hears Renovation Updates

John Sumner, Trigg County Hospital CEO, addressed a litany of subjects during Thursday’s board meeting — giving updates on a number of projects surrounding and ongoing along the hospital’s campus.

The former Dr. Bostick building, he said, is in the first stages of the bid process for renovations.

click to download audioPainting is complete in the new hospital wing, but other delays could be ahead. Sumner said the new Main Street Rural Health Clinic, going in at the former Save On Drugs location, may experience similar issues.

***Sumner also relayed to the board that federal authorities won their case in the 340B Drug Pricing Program. Created in 1992, it requires drug manufacturers to provide outpatient drugs to eligible organizations and covered entities at significantly reduced prices.

He noted that he didn’t know what the full verdict would be, or if back-pay would be returned to the hospital.

click to download audio***Sumner also said that Dr. Nancy Ellen Jolly, or “Ellie,” will begin on Monday, and will work from the Primary Care building until the Save On Drugs renovation is complete. She was granted initial appointment alongside APRN Mary Amelia Oxford, CRNA Joshua Lee and CRNA Maria Jennings.
