A Hopkinsville man was charged with trafficking drugs on North Cherokee Trace Boulevard in Hopkinsville Friday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they were checking on closed businesses in the area when they located 19-year-old Jordan McGee who was a passenger in a vehicle and he told them he was just there reading a book.
After further investigation, McGee reportedly told police they had drugs and a gun in the vehicle and a law enforcement K9 also alerted to drugs being in the vehicle.
Police say marijuana, a handgun, a THC vape pen, a digital scale, and $189 in cash were located.
McGee was arrested and charged with trafficking marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
