Man Charged After Fleeing From Police In Hopkinsville

A Clarksville man was charged after he reportedly fled from law enforcement during a traffic stop on Fort Campbell Boulevard Saturday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say 19-year-old Dayquan Wooden was stopped for going 21 mph over the speed limit near Novadell Way.

During the stop, police say they could smell the odor of marijuana and located marijuana on him and in the vehicle.  He was not able to give law enforcement a driver’s license during the stop.

As police were collecting information for a citation, he reportedly drove off before stopping a short distance up the road.

He was arrested and charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police, possession of marijuana, and speeding.
