A Cadiz man was charged with trafficking drugs after a traffic stop on Nunn Boulevard in Cadiz Tuesday morning.
Cadiz Police Department Maj. Tyler Thomas says he stopped a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Jacob Bridges for going 19 mph over the posted speed limit in the area of Shelby Street.
During the stop, Thomas could reportedly smell the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.
After a search of the vehicle, over 8 oz of marijuana along with a 9mm gun and a digital scale were found. Bridges was arrested and charged with speeding, no registration plate, and trafficking marijuana.
