Though unapposed in the Republican Primary, the Christian County Republican Party invited several candidates for Magistrate to answer questions as part of its debate series. Questions ranged from why are you running to would you favor moving fiscal court meetings.
Candidate for District 2, Josh Turner says he is running after years of consideration and time working for the Hopkinsville Police Department.
Turner will face Democratic imcumbent Mark Wells in the General Election.
District 3 Challenger, George Barnett says his involvment started on the party level but he is ready to serve.
Barnett will face Incumbent Mark Cansler in November.
District 7 Candidate, Russ Guffey has a seven point platform.
Guffey will face Democrat Dave Fernandez for the seat in the General Election.
Candidate, John Bruce says his votes will ultimately be for the good of District 8 if elected.
Bruce challenges incumbent Terry Bowman for the seat.
District 5 Republican hopeful, AJ Rogers was unable to attend.
