A traffic stop on Madisonville Road in Christian County led to drug charges for a Pembroke woman Tuesday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy Sam Suiter says he stopped a vehicle for not having a rear window and an expired temp tag.
During the stop, deputies could reportedly see several open packages of Sudafed in the open glove compartment and the passenger 58-year-old Mary Moody claimed ownership of the items.
Suiter says his law enforcement K9 alerted on the passenger side of the vehicle and after a search, several marijuana roaches were found along with Narcan, hypodermic needles, and a ziplock bag containing what is believed to be meth.
The driver was cited for not having a driver’s license in her possession and the vehicle not having insurance.
After being arrested Moody was reportedly found to have a glass pipe in her shirt when she arrived at the jail.
Moody was charged with possession of meth, first-degree promoting contraband, tampering with physical evidence, possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of a methamphetamine precursor.
