Gas Prices in Western Kentucky Drop Slightly

Gas prices across the state fell in most places last week as the U.S. and its allies agreed to significant releases of oil reserves.

According to AAA, gas prices in western and central Kentucky were 12 cents lower at $3.76 per gallon compared to $3.88 last week. One year ago, gas was $2.67 per gallon.

Prices in Kentucky ranged from $3.56 in Owensboro and $3.63 in Paducah to $4.10 a gallon in Louisville. As of Monday, a popular gas tracking website showed Princeton with an average of $3.81 per gallon and Cadiz at $3.95.

Meanwhile, the national average for a gallon of gas has fallen to $4.11. This is seven cents less than a week ago, 22 cents less than a month ago, and $1.25 more than a year ago.
