Woman Charged After Hopkinsville Pursuit

A traffic stop on North Drive in Hopkinsville led to a short pursuit Monday night.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a truck for an expired registration tag and the driver pulled into the line at McDonald’s and when they approach the vehicle he tried to swallow drugs.

The driver then reportedly drove off leading deputies on a short pursuit before the driver along with Stephanie Rogers and a second person left the vehicle on West 2nd Street at South Fowler Avenue and fled on foot.

Deputies say a large amount of meth was found in the vehicle and Rogers was located at a gas station up the road and was taken into custody.

The driver and the second person in the vehicle have not been located. Deputies say Rogers is charged with fleeing or evading police and possession of meth.
