A home on Central Avenue in Hopkinsville was damaged in a fire early Friday morning.
Hopkinsville firefighters say they were called to the home for a report of a fire in the basement and when they arrived smoke was coming from the structure.
Firefighters say a fire was located in the basement and quickly extinguished. The fire caused moderate damage to the home but the family will be temporarily displaced due to the damage.
The home is located at 1102 Central Avenue.
