One of the Christian County men charged with manslaughter in connection to an overdose death a year ago saw a May trial date set in Christian County Circuit Court Wednesday.
19-year-old Seth Henderson, who remains in the Christian County Jail, is charged with second-degree manslaughter.
The indictment returned last year alleges Henderson and 20-year-old Joshua Long, who is charged with complicity to second-degree manslaughter, were responsible for the January 2021 overdose death of 23-year old Corbin Bowling. Police said Bowling purchased drugs from the two men.
At last month’s court appearance, Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Jared Smith said he felt the sides were close to a resolution in the case and asked for a continuance. Smith repeated that message again Wednesday.
