A Pembroke woman was flown to a Nashville hospital after she was assaulted on South Virginia Street in Hopkinsville Monday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say the woman was in some kind of altercation with 36-year-old Isaac Benjamin at the apartment complex when she was struck in the head causing severe injuries.
She was taken by ambulance to a waiting helicopter that flew her to a Nashville hospital.
Police say Benjamin was arrested and charged with second-degree assault.
