Governor Andy Beshear will join Hopkinsville and Christian County officials Monday to tour storm-damaged areas of the city.
Beshear is set to meet with Mayor Wendell Lynch and County Emergency Management Director Randy Graham to tour the area of Hopkinsville that sustained damage Saturday morning when an EF-2 tornado touched down. The storm left a path of damage along from 18th Street to near First Street. Following a tour of the storm damage, the Governor will meet with local officials at the Hopkinsville Municipal building.
Following the Hopkinsville stop, Governor Beshear will head to Mayfield for a late morning stop to talk with officials from Hopkins County and the city of Mayfield about storm recovery efforts in those areas.
