Deputies have released the name of an Owensboro man that was flown to a Nashville hospital after a crash involving a tractor-trailer on Pennyrile Parkway in Christian County Thursday afternoon.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say William Wight was changing a tire on his van on the side of the road when his van was hit by a tractor-trailer driven by James Coleman of Evansville.
The van traveled off the roadway and the tractor-trailer came to a stop in the median.
Wight was taken by ambulance to Gordon Park to be flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
The crash happened in the northbound lanes at the Crofton exit just before 4 pm.
