Three COVID-Related Deaths Reported In Trigg County

The Pennyrile District Health Department has announced nine COVID-19 related deaths and 70 new positive cases around its five-county district. Officials noted three of the deaths are from 2020 based on a review from the state.

According to the health department, three of the deaths were in Trigg County and involved a 69-year old male on October 17 along with a 72-year old female on December 16, 2020, and a 76-year old male on December 17, 2020.

The health department also reported three COVID-related deaths in Caldwell County along with one death in Crittenden County connected to the virus and two deaths in Livingston County.

Of the 70 new COVID cases reported around the district since Friday, seventeen of the positive cases are in Trigg County with seven cases confirmed on Friday, along with four cases on Saturday and six cases on Monday. All of the cases are recovering at home and involve nine females and eight males, ages 2 to 76, with two of the cases 18 and under.

Elsewhere around the district, 20 new coronavirus cases were reported in Livingston County along with fourteen new cases in Caldwell County, twelve new cases in Crittenden County, and seven new cases in Lyon County.

On the state’s COVID-19 incidence rate map, only Crittenden and Livingston counties are in the red among the five counties in the health department district.
