The public is invited to a dedication ceremony to celebrate the construction of a new pavilion at Jeffers Bend Environmental Center will be held Wednesday.
Officials with Pennyrile RC&D say the new pavilion will be used for various events and activities at Jeffers Bend to include the Water Festival, Take Kids Fishing, field trips for schools, Naturefest, Torchlight Tales/Bell Witch Costume Affairs, Christmas at the Bend, HWEA employee activities, and outdoor events for churches, families, corporations, civic organizations and businesses.
The Pennyrile RC&D Area Council, Inc., in cooperation with Jeffers Bend Steering Committee, Hopkinsville Water Environment Authority, Rogers Group, Inc., and Christian County Fiscal Court are hosting the dedication ceremony to be held at noon at Jeffers Bend. The ceremony will also include several speakers.
