Anderson Files For Trigg Fiscal, Phillips Files For City Council

A life-long Cadiz resident and local small-business owner has officially put his name in the 2022 Trigg County Fiscal Court primary race for District 6.

A seat currently held by Larry Lawrence, Michael Anderson — owner and operator of Cadiz Electric and a Republican — notes he wants to bring a conservative, fiscally-responsible, business-minded, common-sense policy approach to Trigg County politics.

As it stands, Dennis Whitten has already announced his intentions for District 6 as a Republican, while incumbents Jeff Broadbent, Mike Wright, Mike Lane and Barry Littlejohn have filed to run again in their respective districts.

Anderson wasn’t the only person to announce Thursday, as incumbent Cadiz City Councilman Frankie Phillips also filed to try and keep a seat he’s long held.

Phillips joins two other incumbents — Susie Hendricks and Brenda Price — who have filed for re-election.
