High Interest In COVID-19 Booster Shots In Christian County

The Christian County Health Department says demand for COVID-19 booster shots has been on the rise since guidelines were announced earlier this week to increase eligibility.

Health Department spokesperson Chloie Rager says the official guidance has opened the door for more people to get the vaccine.

click to download audioThe Christian County Health Department is reporting 122 active cases of COVID-19 as of Friday morning, with 33 in the birth to 21 age group, 56 in the 22 to 59 age group, 22 in the 60 to 84 range, and 11 in the 85 and older category. The health department is reporting 7 out of the 72 new cases this week were breakthrough cases.
