Tennessee Residents Charged With Drug Possession

A Tennessee man and woman were charged after being found in possession of a stolen vehicle and drugs on Canton Road in Trigg County Saturday night.

Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say they went to the home to check on an emergency protective order violation and located 39-year-old Cindy Compton and 42-year-old Billy Reynolds loading items into a vehicle.

After checking the VIN on the vehicle, deputies say it was reported stolen in Tennessee. Law enforcement searched the vehicle and reportedly located a bag of meth along with syringes in the center console.

They both denied ownership of the drugs and Reynolds reportedly told deputies he had never driven the stolen vehicle and he was working on it for a customer.

They were both arrested and charged with receiving stolen property and possession of meth.
