Woman Found Severely Injured After High-Speed Pursuit In Trigg County

Deputies were called to South Road in Trigg County for a shooting that led to a high-speed pursuit and a woman being found with severe injuries.

Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called around noon for a report of an altercation at a residence on South Road.  The altercation reportedly resulted in someone at the residence shooting into a vehicle.
As law enforcement were responding to the altercation on South Road, they spotted a vehicle fitting the description of the suspect’s vehicle.  As they attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver fled at a high rate of speed.
Deputies later located the suspect vehicle in Cadiz at a Hilltop Street residence.  They say the driver of the vehicle started to drive toward officers on the scene, which resulted in an officer discharging his weapon to disable the suspect’s vehicle.
After the suspect and vehicle were stopped, officers reportedly located a woman with severe injuries in the yard of the Hilltop Street residence.  She was rushed to the hospital by ambulance.  No information has been released about the condition of the woman.
It is unknown at this time what led to the woman’s injuries.
Deputies say Kentucky State Police have been called to investigate the incident. Deputies have not released the names of anyone involved in the incident.
