Pennyrile District Health Department Reports 167 New COVID Cases

Late Monday evening, the Pennyrile District Health Department released its new case data surrounding COVID-19 in the region.

From September 23-27, Caldwell County reported 54 new cases, Trigg County reported 44 new cases, Livingston County reported 30 new cases, Crittenden County had 23 new cases and Lyon County had 16 new cases — for a total of 167 cases within their purview.

As of Monday, Governor Andy Beshear reported Kentucky’s positivity rate had fallen slightly to 10.55 percent, while both Trigg (24.4) and Lyon counties (20.9) have fallen into the orange incidence rate — joining Ballard, Carlisle, Fulton and Elliott with slowly, but surely, slimming caseloads.

Tuesday’s reported state positivity: 10.4 percent.
