Bond Hearing Set For Oak Grove Stabbing Suspect

A woman charged in connection to a stabbing in Oak Grove appeared in Christian Circuit Court for a pretrial conference Wednesday morning with the judge setting a bond hearing for next week.

Katrina Grandberry is accused of stabbing a 47-year old woman in a home on Pembroke-Oak Grove Road in Oak Grove in December 2020.

Grandberry appeared virtually from the jail and her defense attorney Rick Sandborn along with Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Stephanie Bolin appeared in person before Chief Circuit Judge John Atkins.

Sandborn said he has filed a bond motion and asked the Judge Atkins to set a hearing date which was scheduled on September 8th.

click to download audioGrandberry was arrested on a warrant in May in connection to a stabbing on December 14, 2020, when Oak Grove police responded to a disturbance between two women. Police said officers were able to separate the women and get the knife away from Grandberry. Officers said the victim suffered serious injuries from the stabbing and Grandberry suffered minor injuries.

Grandberry is charged with first-degree assault and remains lodged in the Christian County Jail.
