A Livingston County woman died after a head-on collision in Caldwell County over the weekend.
Princeton Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison reports officers were dispatched to a head-on collision near the 800 block of West Washington Street shortly before 11:20 Sunday morning.
Police say an investigation revealed that 69-year old Billie G. Jenkins, of Grand Rivers, was traveling west on West Washington and collided head-on into an eastbound vehicle driven by 72-year old Alan N. Ladd, of Princeton. Jenkins was taken to Caldwell County Medical Center after she was extricated from her vehicle by the Princeton Fire Department. Police say Jenkins was then flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee where she was pronounced dead by the Medical Examiner’s Office around 6:40 Sunday evening.
