Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Arrest In Hopkinsville

A traffic stop on Belmont Street in Hopkinsville led to the driver being charged with drug possession Sunday night.

Hopkinsville Police say 51-year-old Anthonette Fischer was stopped for a turn signal violation and during the stop, she was found to have an active warrant for non-payment of fines. As she was being arrested, police say she told them she had 1.6 grams of meth in her pocket.

She is charged with failure or improper signal, failure to notify address change to the department of transportation, and possession of meth.
