A Hopkinsville man was charged with criminal abuse after hitting his child at Morris Estates in Hopkinsville Sunday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 21-year-old Michael Croney hit his 5-month-old child repetitively after the child woke him up.
The child reportedly had significant bruising on their lower back down to the knee.
Croney is charged with first-degree criminal abuse.
