Flash Flood Watch Issued Through Sunday Morning

The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a Flash Flood Watch for portions of western Kentucky, effective from 1:00 Saturday afternoon until 7:00 Sunday morning.

The watch includes Caldwell, Lyon, Hopkins, Muhlenberg, Livingston, Union, and Webster counties.

NWS officials said some thunderstorms across the area might produce rainfall from 2-4 inches, with locally higher amounts possible through Saturday night.

As of 7:00 a.m. Saturday, many locations throughout the watch area had received up to an inch of rain since midnight.
