Todd County Central High School will begin the process of searching for a new principal after Deatrik Kinney was named the athletic director at Paducah Tilghman High School Wednesday.
Kinney has been the principal at TCCHS since 2018 after serving as assistant principal for two years.
He is a native of Fulton County where he was a standout athlete. After graduating from Murray State University, Kinney returned home and was the head football coach at Fulton County for four years. He also was an assistant track and field coach.
In addition to his athletic director duties, Kinney will also serve as assistant principal for the high school.
