A Hopkinsville man was charged with strangling a woman at a home on South Wooldridge Road Sunday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say 20-year-old Braiden Powers got into a physical altercation with a woman and assaulted her and choked her.
He is charged with first-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault.
