Hopkinsville Man Charged After Short Pursuit

A Hopkinsville man was charged with stalking and fleeing from police after a disturbance on Keeton Drive in Hopkinsville Tuesday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say they were called for 41-year-old Joshua Meacham kicking the garage door at a home with a woman that had a domestic violence order with him.

As police were responding to the call, they reportedly noticed his vehicle and attempted to stop him.
Meacham allegedly fled at speeds of 80 to 90 miles an hour before coming to a stop in the area of Food Lion.

During the stop, Police say a law enforcement K9 alerted on the vehicle and anabolic steroids were found.

He is charged with second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree stalking, third-degree criminal mischief, and violation of an EPO/DVO.
