A wreck on Davis Mill Road in Todd County sent one person to the hospital and led to charges for an Elkton man Sunday morning.
Todd County Sheriff’s deputies say 28-year-old Norman Detweiler was going 15 mph over the speed limit on the wrong side of the road when he hit a vehicle driven by 52-year-old Melissa Whitaker of Elkton.
Whitaker was taken to the hospital by ambulance for injuries from the crash. The extent of the injuries was unknown.
Detweiler reportedly told deputies he had been drinking. He is charged with DUI second offense, tampering with physical evidence, reckless driving, driving on a suspended or revoked license along with several other traffic violations.
