The League of Women Voters of Hopkinsville will host an event Thursday to celebrate the league’s National Day of Action.
Local league member Sarah Brechwald said the press conference will start at 4:00 Thursday afternoon on the front lawn of the Christian County Justice Center and inside if raining. She noted the event would focus on legislative redistricting and feature a brief presentation.
Brechwald added anyone interested in joining their non-partisan political organization could learn more during the event or join them during future meetings.
The League of Women Voters of the United States encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
