A Florida man was charged after fleeing from law enforcement in Trigg County Monday morning.
Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say they attempted to stop 28-year-old Justin Heffernan Jr. of Boynton Beach on Interstate 24 at exit 65 for going 35 mph over the speed limit.
Heffernan reportedly turned his lights off and sped up to 120 mph before stopping at the intersection of Green Road and US 68.
He was arrested and charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, driving on a suspended or revoked license, reckless driving, speeding, and several traffic violations.
