A Hopkinsville woman accused of fatally shooting a man on College Street earlier this month was indicted by a Christian County grand jury Friday.
25-year old Kachelle Isbell was indicted for murder in connection to the death of 33-year old Anthony Johnson.
According to Hopkinsville Police, officers were called to 1501 College Street just before 1:00 the morning of April 3. When officers arrived they found Johnson in front of the residence, unresponsive and with a gunshot wound to his neck. Police reportedly located Isbell at the scene of the shooting with a gun. Investigators said Johnson admitted she had shot Johnson.
Johnson was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center where he later died.
Isbell was arrested and remains lodged in the Christian County Jail.
