The Christian County Clerk’s Office will host a flag-raising event Monday morning.
The event is a part of Donate Life Month, every April, to help the public learn about the organ donor registry. The Donate Life Flag will be featured at the Christian County Justice Center on Justice Way in Hopkinsville Monday morning at 10:08.
During the event, Hopkinsville Mayor Wendell Lynch and Christian County Judge-Executive Steve Tribble will present a proclamation and lead in a 1 minute 8 second moment of silence, representing that one donor can save eight lives.
The Clerk’s office will also raffle off a home decor item donated by Cayce Mill Supply, with the proceeds to be donated to the Circuit Court Clerk’s ‘Trust For Life’ to promote organ donor awareness in Kentucky.
