Kentucky Updates COVID-19 Travel Guidance

Governor Andy Beshear announced Monday Kentucky was updating its travel guidance to be in line with recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that changed last week.

Governor Beshear said the changes in guidelines are for people who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Beshear added if you are fully vaccinated and want to participate in international travel, you still need to follow many precautions.

Beshear stressed that travel is still not safe and not recommended until you receive a COVID-19 vaccine.

The statewide testing positivity rate is now 2.89-percent.

Currently, there are 376 Kentuckians hospitalized with the virus, while 116 are in the ICU and 57 are on a ventilator.
