Trigg Chamber Gearing Up For Two Ribbon-Cutting Events

The Trigg County Chamber of Commerce will host two ribbon-cutting events over the next several days.

Chamber Director Beth Sumner said the first event would be held Saturday morning at 8:00 at the Cadiz-Trigg County Farmer’s Market at 70 Main Street. Sumner added attendees and vendors are encouraged to follow social distancing guidelines and use masks when social distancing is not possible.

The regular season of the Farmer’s Market runs Wednesdays and Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to Noon through the end of October.

Sumner said the second ribbon cutting would be held Tuesday evening to mark the re-opening of the Cadiz River Walking Trail. The ceremony will begin at 5:30 at the trail located behind the Renaissance Stage.

Sumner added the walking-trail ribbon cutting comes following the efforts of Eagle Scout Candidate Makoto Hiter and Boy Scout Troop #2057, who spent considerable hours clearing the trail of debris.

Both ribbon cuttings will be held because of a partnership between the chamber and the City of Cadiz Main Street Program.
