Hopkinsville Mayor Talks About COVID And Recruitment Plan

Hopkinsville Mayor Wendell Lynch says he feels good as we head into the second quarter of the year.

Mayor Lynch says the community has done a lot of things right handling the COVID-19 protocols but he says we are not out of the woods yet.

click to download audioIn order to continue to move the city forward, Mayor Lynch says they introduced a plan of recommendations to City Council at a recent Saturday retreat to get aggressive in the areas of industry and incentive recruitment.

click to download audioMayor Lynch says when a business is looking at locating in the community the most important thing is to be prepared and have a plan in place that allows you to negotiate from a position of strength and knowledge and with the resources you can allocate to make it work. He adds that’s what makes the difference in industrial recruitment now.
