Christian County School Board Hears Update On Senior Activities

Christian County school board members heard an update concerning senior activities Thursday night, which answered some questions concerning the district’s prom events.

Superintendent Chris Bentzel said they continue to talk about prom and graduations for both high schools. He added dates had been set for both proms.

Bentzel added the proms would be held early, so if anyone contracts COVID-19, they have enough time to quarantine and still be able to take their finals and attend graduation.

He said there would be no cost to any prom attendees because of the unusual school year they have endured. Bentzel added that virtual learning academy seniors would be allowed to attend prom.

Both prom entrances will be live-streamed so parents to see their students, as no parent attendance will be allowed.

Bentzel said in-person graduations would occur at the Stadium of Champions, but further planning will be up to students at both schools, and more information will be shared at future board meetings.
