Kentucky Marks One Millionth COVID Vaccine (w/VIDEO)

Governor Andy Beshear, First Lady Britainy Beshear, and Kentucky Health Commissioner Dr. Steven Stack marked the 1 millionth COVID-19 vaccine distributed across the state Monday morning.

Governor Beshear said the first vaccines were distributed with the help of UPS on December 12, 2020.

Beshear added Kentucky reached the 5,000th COVID-related death Monday.

As the state celebrated the vaccine, Beshear said they are continuing to be distributed as soon as possible.

He said we honor the families who have suffered loss because of COVID-19 by defeating the virus as soon as possible. Beshear added the state has 567 current vaccine distribution sites.
