The prom dates and times have now been set for seniors at both Hopkinsville and Christian County High Schools.
Student representatives joined Superintendent Chris Bentzel Friday morning, where they flipped a coin. Christian County High School won the coin toss and chose Friday, April 23, as their prom date. That means Hopkinsville High School’s prom will take place Friday, April 16.
Both proms will occur at the Stadium of Champions and will be moved to the next night if there is inclement weather.
Seniors and their dates are the only ones allowed to attend prom, where safety measures will be enforced to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The entrances will begin at 7:00, with the dance taking place from 8:00 until 10:00. Parents will not be able to view the entrance in-person, but there will be a stream available online.
