Kentucky Testing Positivity Rate Continues Decline

Kentucky confirmed 1,010 new COVID-19 cases and 34 deaths Wednesday afternoon.

In Governor Andy Beshear’s daily report, the state also reported a testing positivity rate of 3.93-percent, a small decrease from Tuesday. Beshear attributed the decreasing rate to more Kentuckians receiving one of three COVID-19 vaccines and following public health officials’ guidance.

Currently, there are 524 residents hospitalized with COVID-19, 138 in the ICU, and 75 on a ventilator.
