State Positivity Rate At Lowest Point in Six Months

Kentucky’s testing positivity rate fell below 4-percent Tuesday for the first time since September.

Governor Andy Beshear reported the positivity rate is now 3.94-percent and was calculated from 64,338 COVID-19 tests over the last seven days. Beshear also confirmed 880 new COVID-19 cases and 21 deaths Tuesday.

There are 551 Kentuckians hospitalized with COVID-19, 147 in the ICU, and 81 on a ventilator. The occupancy for the state’s inpatient and ICU beds was around 60-percent, and ventilators were just above 30-percent.
