Trigg County Active COVID-19 Case Numbers Continue Decline

Officials with the Pennyrile District Health Department have confirmed 11 new COVID-19 cases in Trigg County since Monday.

In the official report released Friday afternoon, Trigg County Health Department reported 31 active COVID-19 cases. Since the pandemic began, the county has confirmed 1,042 recoveries and eight deaths related to COVID-19.

Across the other four counties in the Pennyrile District Health Department service area, less than 25 active cases were reported in each county, except for Lyon, which reported 308 active cases. Of the high number of active cases in Lyon County, 280 are inmates at the Kentucky State Penitentiary or the Western Kentucky Correctional Complex.
