Trigg County magistrates recently approved the 2021 fiscal year budget for the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Aaron Acree presented the $839,185 budget Monday night, nearly $25,000 more than the current budget.
Sheriff Acree said most of the increase comes from higher pay for all of his staff.
The biggest decrease in the sheriff’s budget is petroleum products which went down $10,000.
Magistrate Cameron Sumner noted the new budget was barely over two-percent inflation and shared his support behind the pay increase for all Trigg County Sheriff’s Office employees.
