Governor Andy Beshear announced Thursday afternoon the third round of P-EBT benefits was recently approved at the federal level.
The benefits for public and private school students receiving free/reduced meals through the National School Lunch Program help families afford the food they need, and their children may not receive because of school closures.
Beshear said the funds are available from October through the rest of the 2020-21 school year.
Beshear added the amount of funding for each month would depend on your child’s school district learning model.
The first round of the newly approved funding will be distributed the week of March 15.
