WCA Suspending All Residential Services Until Monday

Officials with Waste Corporation of America (WCA) announced Tuesday night they are suspending all residential services until Monday due to the forecast of another winter storm and hazardous road conditions.

Municipal Account Manager Jeff Simms says WCA has been unable to service their residents due to the ice event last week and Monday’s snow event. He adds they made the decision to suspend residential services until Monday because of another winter weather event with measurable snow accumulation predicted for our area as well as for the safety of their customers and employees. He adds they do not take this action lightly and understand the inconvenience involved.

In addition, Simms says the WCA office in Princeton and transfer station will be closed until Monday.

Beginning Monday, he indicates WCA will pick up all of your trash. Customers need to put additional trash in a personal can, or bundled/bagged next to your cart as best possible. He says WCA will do their best next week to pick up all of your trash on your regular service day.

Simms also asks customers to be patient as they expect all routes will be delayed due to the time it will take to pick up the extra trash.

According to Simms, WCA will send out further communication if there is a change to the forecast and they are able to pick up garbage at residential homes safely.
