Hopkinsville Man Charged After Operating 4-Wheeler “Recklessly”

A Hopkinsville man was arrested after a traffic stop for reckless driving on a four-wheeler in Hopkinsville Monday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say 43-year-old Kennie Green was seen driving recklessly in the area of Harrison Street and before they could make a traffic stop he ran off the road and wrecked his four-wheeler on East 18th Street.

Green then reportedly fled on foot before being arrested. Police say he performed poorly on the field sobriety test and told them he had some drinks and smoked marijuana earlier in the day.

He was reportedly found to have 3 grams of meth and an oxycodone pill in his pocket. He is charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police, reckless driving, DUI, trafficking meth, and possession of opiates.
